Johannesburg Water Cydna Laboratory


Johannesburg Water SOC (Pty) Ltd, the water and sanitation service provider for the City of Johannesburg supplies 1 500 000 cubic metres of tap water and treats 940 000 cubic metres of wastewater everyday (2012). It also provides basic water and sanitation to a million people in informal areas.

In order to ensure the high quality of its services and the integrity of the environment in which it operates, Johannesburg Water maintains a comprehensive chemical and microbiological laboratory service within the company and for the CoJ departments from a centrally located laboratory complex and complex and two satellite facilities.

The laboratories which are accredited by SANAS to ISO/IEC 17025 standard are staffed by highly qualified scientists and chemists with experience in a wide range of chemical, physical and microbiological analysis.
